Creating A “Back to Regular Business” Plan

As cities and states begin to relax stay-at-home orders, there’s a sense among business owners and employees that the return to “business as normal” is right around the corner.

My challenge to you this week is to think through what the process of reopening and returning back to normal looks like for your clients and customers.

The current pandemic is unprecedented in modern times and given the fluid nature of the situation, I would expect and anticipate that business will be different in the coming months for both cannabis business and those that provide auxiliary services for the industry..

If you are B2B, will your clients/suppliers be overwhelmed with pent up demand? Is it a challenge to safely reopen?

If you are B2C, are your clients/customers comfortable with your safely practices and precautions? Have you spent the time comparing federal, local and state orders to ensure that your business is compliant for both your employees and customers?

This is a great time to reach out to your customers and clients to learn about the challenges they are facing in reopening. What are they seeing? How are they dealing with the return to normal?

Throw out the notion of “business as normal,” at least for now and see if there’s an opportunity to help your clients and customers get back to business.
